A Humble Beginning: The Turning Point That Changed Everything

In 1997, my husband and I were making only $24,000 a year (together) while raising our two young kids. As I filed our taxes, I learned we qualified for the Earned Income Tax Credit—a revelation that left me feeling both grateful and truly embarrassed. I was shocked, this is where I am at. That moment triggered an unshakeable determination and I knew had to change. I wanted a better future for myself and my family. 

Driven by a desire to stand on my own two feet, I decided to take a leap: I went back to college as an adult to study accounting. Over the years, I combined my education with real-world experiences, from working at Vanguard (where I gained invaluable insights into investing) to running my own accounting business while balancing motherhood. 

My journey wasn't exactly a fairy tale. It was marked by grit, determination, and battling lots of self-doubt. But each step was a building block, moving me closer to a future I could be proud of rather than ashamed of. 

Today, as a business financial coach, I’m thrilled to guide women on their path to financial success—breaking down the barriers that hold them back and empowering them to achieve their dreams and a profitable business.
